You've come a long way, baby! Originally created in 2007 to celebrate l.a.Eyeworks' nomination for an L.A. Fashion Award for marketing excellence, GAZE, the first of four 60-second shorts, exemplifies l.a.Eyeworks' ongoing commitment to collaborating with groundbreaking artists.
For GAZE, l.a.Eyeworks worked with award-winning filmmaker Bryan Jackson, who created this incredible short that included the building of a to-scale version of l.a.Eyeworks' award-winning Beverly Boulevard flagship store.
GAZE became the first chapter of an ongoing narrative collaboration. To celebrate l.a.Eyeworks' 30th year of uncensored visions, Jackson envisioned three additional short films, inspired by the four seasons and the outrageous spirit of l.a.Eyeworks' fabled history.
A MEADOW LARK offers a glimpse of utopic scenery, and the series' recurring protagonist gazing on green pastures, his glasses the gateway to dreamland.
In SCARY SIGHT, Jackson weaves a ghoulish web of frightening delights. Zombie opticians! Beasts in cat eyes! Hold on to your spectacles!
A HOT ICY can be so refreshing! For the final chapter of this fantastical mini-series, director Bryan Jackson takes our frame-loving fellow on a journey where he stumbles from a scorching SoCal sidewalk into a winter wonderland, full of the crisp, rare air of great glasses.
