If the world of cultural book publishing had a capitol, it would probably be called Taschen. And keeping watch over the kingdom would be Taschen Books' esteemed Executive Editor, Jim Heimann (don't forget to add "cultural anthropologist, graphic design historian, and expert on LA" to the CV). And if Jim was looking at you, he'd be doing it through a classic pair of "Rake" eyeglasses, designed by l.a.Eyeworks in 1995. Groundbreaking design meets groundbreaking publishing -- no surprise that the editors of 944 Magazine selected Heimann as a "trailblazer" in the City of Angels.
